Shortcuts to Info Below:
2Learn2Gether.ca is a virtual professional community of practice for Alberta teachers. Within the Events and Collaborations section of this website, you can search and register for VC opportunities that interest you, or post VC events that you are planning!

Begun as a VCRLN service, the 2Learn.ca VC listserv continues to connect educators across the province involved with the use of VC. Weekly emails containing event, P2P collaborative and PD opportunities will be posted on the listserv by the 2Learn.ca team. For more information about the VC listserv, please contact Jocelyn@2learn.ca.

This year, we will continue to offer many events for groups of classes across the province to participate in, ranging from guest presenters, to celebrating major occasions, to opportunities for students to share their work and talents with one another! For more information about VC multipoint events, please contact Jocelyn@2learn.ca.

Support Documents:
A Point2Point Collaborative is simply a videoconference between your class and another class in Alberta organized around a theme, event, celebration, or curricular link. Whereas the focus of a multipoint collaborative conference is generally outside performers, presenters, or classes, a Point2Point Collaborative puts the spotlight directly on your students. A P2P will be as memorable and interactive as you and your collaborative partner teacher choose to make it. For more information about Point2Point collaboratives, please contact Jocelyn@2Learn.ca.

The 2Learn.ca Education Society has created a Course Delivery Mentorship Resource Guide to support Alberta teachers who are new to distance course delivery using videoconferencing technologies. For more information about course delivery mentorship, please contact Jocelyn@2Learn.ca.

Do you have a specific need for a session, asychronous presentation, VC PD event, workshop or combination of these? We can tailor PD to your needs. Check the complete list of professional development opportunities from the 2Learn.ca Provincial Team. For more information about professional development via VC, please contact Catherine@2Learn.ca.

A Cyberproject is like a technology-integrated collaborative recipe:
  1. Start with two or more teachers interested in working together on a common curricular unit.
  2. Add videoconferences for your students to take part in.
  3. Integrate technologies for your students to enjoy.
  4. Document your process through journaling, pictures and video
  5. Collaborate with your partner teacher and share your process using www.2Learn2gether.ca
For more information about CyberProject creation, please contact Jocelyn@2Learn.ca.
