POINT TO POINT COLLABORATIONS

Welcome to Point to Point (P2P)collaborations

This year, the VCRLN is providing a wide variety of VC opportunities for Alberta teachers. We have organized many presentations from people and groups around the world and collaborative activities for teachers. These possibilities are listed below and on the side panel.

    Point2Point Collaborations

This year, the VC Regional Leads Network has expanded our portfolio and organized Point-2-Point Collaborative VC Events (videoconferences between your class and another class in Alberta) specifically for Alberta teachers, for the entire school year!

  • What is a Point-2-Point Collaborative?

A Point-2-Point Collaborative is simply a videoconference between your class and another class in Alberta organized around a theme, event, celebration, or curricular link.

  • How are classes matched?

Classes are often, but not always, matched according to three criteria: language of instruction, grade level and subject focus.

  • Why sign my students up for a Point-2-Point Collaborative event?

Whereas the focus of a multipoint collaborative conference is generally outside performers, presenters, or classes, a Point-2-Point Collaborative puts the spotlight directly on you and your students. A P2P will be as memorable and interactive as you and your collaborative partner teacher choose to make it.
